Israel
died of typhoid fever after nursing his son Ira (age 5) through a long bout with the same disease. He is interred in Walker Cemetery, near Greensburg, IN.

Rebecca was 25 years old when Israel died.  Lydia, their oldest child, was 6 and Robert, their youngest, was only 3 months old.

Rebecca remarried to a man named Joshua Clark (1801-1887).  They had two other children: Mary (1849-1922) and Wilson (1855-1886).  Joshua would have been in his 40's when he and Rebecca married.

Rebecca, Joshua, and family left Indiana on 9/21/1857 and arrived in Kansas (Near Baldwin, Douglas County) on 10/26/1857.  Ira and Sarah Randel accompanied the Clarks on this trip.

Rebecca's cause of death was listed as "dropsy & heart trouble."  She and Joshua are interred in the Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City, KS.
